A kind of experiment with texture (the appearance of) and an ode to alphonse mucha because I just love his style.

I took some leaves and tried to do a leaf pattern in the background behind the waterfall and below by pressing a leaf in a dish of watercolor and pressing onto the paper. Then I went in and defined some rocks and trees and made some water and a small orange fish, then outlined with ink.

Intersting. I like what you tried to do here, with the textures of the leaves and the waterfal. Perhaps you could add some white highlights to the water to make it spring out a bit.

I also adore Mucha

thankyou thankyou, It was an experiment I didnt expect to come out so good but I love suprises! Thanks for the critique, I tried to get the highlights as white as I could but pastel only gets so white, maybe I should've tried something else.
